Overview

The Issue Panel integrates Collaboration Champion directly into your Jira issues, providing real-time feedback and gamification elements as you work.

Accessing the Issue Panel

  • Open any Jira issue.

  • Look for the Collaboration Champion panel on the top of the issue view.

  • If not visible, click on the "..." menu and select "Collaboration Champion" to add the panel.

Features of the Issue Panel

1. Personal Point Display

  • Shows your current point total.

  • Indicates points earned from the current issue.

2. Level Progress Bar

  • Visual representation of your progress to the next level.

  • Displays current level badge and name.

3. Issue Collaborators

  • Shows other users who have interacted with this issue.

  • Displays their current level and points earned on this issue.

4. Achievements Section

  • Highlights any achievements or badges earned through this issue.

  • Shows progress towards issue-specific achievements.

5. Sound Toggle

  • Option to enable or disable sound notifications for earning points.

Interacting with the Issue Panel

Earning Points

  • As you perform actions on the issue (commenting, assigning, status updating), you'll see real-time updates in the panel.

  • A subtle animation and optional sound will play when points are earned.

Adjusting Notifications

  • Use the sound toggle to turn audio notifications on or off.

  • This setting is specific to your account and persists across all issues.

Best Practices

  • Regularly check the Issue Panel to stay motivated and track your contributions.

  • Collaborate with others on the issue to increase both your points and the team's overall performance.

Troubleshooting

  • I can’t hear the sound when I perform actions on an issue.

    • The two conditions to play sound are:

      • Sound toggle is ON for Jira users;

      • Click the issue panel area of Collaboration Champion to activate sound playback.

    • Only below actions will award the correpsonding points:

      • Create/Complete Issues + 3 Points

      • Assign/Update status/Comment on Issues + 2 points

      • Update priority/Log work/Mention someone in the issue description + 1 point
